4/10 WWT: Revolutionizing Video Content: New Features for Maximum Impact

for joining us today on our weekly walkthrough where we are today going to be talking about

how to revolutionize your video content. Jen? Quick introduction myself. I'm Jennifer

I am the director of Flickify. I am based in our Carlsbad, California office

And I have been with a Zoic since 2020, started right before the pandemic in January of 2020

So it was fun times. And I have been on Flickify since 2022, so for about two years

I have two kiddos. I've got a one-year-old and a high school senior, so really have the gambit there of kids in the house. And some of my hobbies are cooking, hiking, reading, running, and I enjoy cycling

And you also have me. So I'm Paul. I'm currently one of our publisher video specialists. I am based out of the London office. But working for pain today, this is not her office. I've been with a Zoic for four

five years now. I've worked quite a few different roles across the business. I've been one of

our published success managers, helping out the international markets, which we run out of the London

office. And now as I find myself, as part of the Flickify team, I do last sport when I'm not injured

I'm taking the London marathon next week. So I'm eating a lot of carbs at the moment, which is

great fun. They're running not so much. And also a big, big musician outside of that as well. So

that's a bit about us. But we will just give you a quick overview of what we're going to look at today

So nice and easy, not too many different tangents to go off on. We're going to start by helping

you identify a video strategy for your site and what that looks like. A bit about how to utilize Flickify

to accomplish said strategy and then leave plenty of time to go through questions. So without any

further ado, let's crack on. Yeah. So one of the challenges we're hearing from a lot of

of digital publishers is knowing video is important, knowing they need a video strategy

especially here in 2024, and really just not sure of where they should start

There's YouTube channel, should you invest there? Should you start doing reels on social media

Should you do YouTube shorts? Instagram, TikTok. So there's a lot of these different opportunities to start utilizing video for your brand

What Paul and I really want to talk to today is the low-hand

hanging fruit. Where you have existing content and you have brand authority and let's get you

indexed. That's where we've seen you can get a more immediate ROI in investing your time and

dollars. So that's where we want to talk through today is your existing content that you have

your brand authority. How can we help you come up with a video strategy there? Yeah. Now, Jen

for us, as I like publishers who are already utilizing Humix and universal player to match relevant videos

on their site. If they don't have an existing YouTube channel, shouldn't that be the focus for

generating new revenue for their brand? Yeah, I'm glad you brought that up, Paul. That can

absolutely be a good strategy for your brand if you want to invest some time there in getting your

YouTube channel off the ground. But what I want to talk about today is where you can see more of an

immediate impact, and that's going to be the easiest to get off the ground for you. So if you only

have a limited amount of time and resources, this is going to be really easy for you to start

getting some authority and some revenue for your site. So here we're talking, looking at a page on search, right? And you can see, is search position for

really positioned for? As you see, Google here is ranking these videos

videos, images, and carousels above even the links to the content. What we want is publishers

to get their content, links to their site, jumping above the fold into this image carousel here

for video, which many of them are not today. Yeah. And I've noticed this as a bit of a shift

recently. I noticed Semrush wrote an article about this. And think about February time, I think they

starts calling this out that Google, the way that they look at ranking content has changed. I mean

there's been quite a few changes of Google recently, which I think many people have seen. But what they're starting to look at now is the intent behind the search

And what they're saying is if there is intent that could be satisfied by video

they're going to start showing video. So I guess my question is position four, still position four

If we look at the image in question, you know, the search for those that's a bit small

was how to change my windscreen wipers with the weather. It feels like it's an appropriate search

You can see that there's one text link at the top. then we have four

four videos so if you are another text link without video content

you're now what was position two is position five six seven so suddenly you're significantly lower down the serp

and you know if Google's looking at this for content that has video intent I guess the question to be asking yourself

you know is could any of my keywords could any of my searches be satisfied by video intent

and if that's the case, like what am I doing to ensure that I can generate that content to compete in this shift in the way that content is pulled and served

So with that in mind I had a look through other parts of the Samrush blog to come up with ideas and strategies that we think could be really beneficial to our publishers And as Jen said what we looking here is is the low hanging through

It's the easy way of getting our content ranking higher. And that is to make sure that we are getting relevant content embedded on the page

When we, well, when I read through the Sam Rush, in adding a top performing content, articles with at least one video generate 52% more organic traffic than the

those without. And what's, what's, you know, shocking to see is that there's fewer than 8

of blog posts yzed actually have a relevant video on the page. Yeah. So that is, I think

a huge opportunity for website owners today is only 8% of your competitors are posting video

That won't be the case a year from now. So now is really the time to invest in this strategy

and get your videos, your pages, hire up in those search rankings before your competitors catch up

and start doing the same. Where a year or two from now, I think we'll see a different strategy

being employed by a lot of digital publishers. But right now, you can see the benefits almost immediately

and your competitors aren't doing it. Yeah, absolutely. All right. So something we hear often is from a lot of digital publishers

who know this is an issue, right? They know that they want to have videos on their page

but that it's too time-consuming, it's too expensive and the low cost options out there are really low quality

So that is a problem that we have been hearing. And so with that, that's why as a group we've invested in Flickify

So Flickify, go on the next slide here. What it can do for your business is it's rapid creation

Most videos take an average of five to ten minutes per video

The cost is between $3 to $6 per video. The difference in costs there is really more on which package suits your business

So we have starter packages for those that are just getting started who only need a few videos per month

versus some of our enterprise accounts that are creating hundreds of videos

The cost per video goes down depending on how many you need for months. Also the quality

So we're going to show some examples here, but really high quality videos are now being produced using AI

If you saw the tool two years ago, it's completely different. in terms of the quality outputs with the investment our teams have been making

Yeah, very much so. And one of the cool things that you can do is, you know, transform your content

If you think about some of the comments that Jen was just looking at before, you know, it's difficult, it's time consuming

What Flickify does is enable you to sort of bridge that gap between written and video content

by leveraging the work that you've already done, but with a few simple clips

turning that into high quality, watchable, digestible, rankable, content that we can serve on Google

So what we're able to do, for those of you haven't seen the tool before

We're able to match relevant keywords to stock media. So if we have, so you're doing an article about, you know, like a recipe

So all of that comes with that, whether that's video or images. And when there's no good match from the stock media, we have a really extensive AI

generator, sorry, that can put in lots of different styles. But again, we'll touch a bit more on that in a sec

Yeah, and as this is a video strategy webinar discussion, just a couple different things

to think about as you start to want to transform your content into video, is

for digital publishers, if you're putting out more than 50 or a lot of pieces of content per day. So if you need more than 50 per month, what it would probably make sense to do is us to do a custom setup with you with autopilot, where we can get the types of settings you want into the system. We can even hook with Google ytics so that when you have a page that gets a certain amount of traffic, get auto fires a video, auto pushes to humics, auto's on the page where very little work needs to be done. So that's just something to think about is a custom setup if you have a ton of articles that you need to produce

For those of you with evergreen content, your content does not go out of style, that it's

constantly current. A good strategy for you to employ would be identify your top articles

that you're already ranking today and the keywords you're already ranking for and focus on those

pages first. So come up with a strategy around these are the articles that are already getting

most of my traffic. These are the ones that have the most amount of keywords. That's going to be

your low-hanging fruit and getting those end of videos embedded on the page and live is going to be

really beneficial for your business. Another strategy here would be for our lifestyle bloggers

If you have a brand that you have authority already, you maybe already have an Instagram

or a YouTube channel where it's your voice talking, we might want to just clone your voice

to keep that consistent on your Flickify videos too. The clone. actually works really well and many instances you can't tell the difference between someone speaking

and the system now sounding just like you as you're reading through a script

of what the system will do. Here we just put in our existing webpage to pull the content

This policy is familiar if you've seen it in the past, But what's new now is in our next slide here is I'd recommend doing script transform

So instead of reading the page verbatim, our system will transform your content into more of a video

So it just sounds a bit more natural than maybe reading exactly what's written on the screen

From here, then we have our, oh, and you can change your tone if you want, you know, more informative, casual

You can tell the system what you want. You can actually do a few different revisions until you get what you like

Yeah, and it's a great new addition to the tool, whereas before you would get the text of the article, this actually, you know, as we said earlier, it's about creating engaging content and this will turn the substance of the text into video style content, which is really cool

And then our default settings, we recommend are just auto matching the media

You can upload your own, but I would recommend just auto match. Go ahead and let the system read your page or script and choose a narrator that sounds

sounds most relevant, add a soundtrack to it as well as adding some text overlays

We'll make it look a little bit nicer. Those are those text box that you see on the video in white, where it's just picking up

some keywords and putting it in for emphasis. So I recommend just using the default settings in most cases and just let the system

auto create it for you with very little effort on your part. Which is what we've done on this video, right

Correct. Yeah. So this is one we just entered in the U.S. and we just said, go, and we haven't made any edits or changes. So here's an idea of what

the system could just do automatically for you. A serene view of the Euphrates and Tigris rivers with ancient sailboats sliding through the water

sets the stage for our journey back in time to the cradle of civilization, Mesopotamia

We're exploring an invention that revolution, ancient travel and trade, the sailboat

will uncover the significance of these ancient vessels and their impact on one of the world's earliest

and most influential civilizations. Nestled between the mighty rivers, Euphrates, and Tigris

This innovation was a testament to their ingenuity, helping to cement their place in history as a pioneering civilization

The legacy of Mesopotamian sailboats endures, influencing boat design even 5,000 years later

Their invention is a reminder of the enduring human spirit to innovate and adapt

In conclusion, the sailboats of Mesopotamia were a cornerstone of their civilization

facilitating trade, travel, and communication. These ancient mariners not only mastered their rivers, but also left a lasting legacy on maritime history

Mesopotamia's contributions from the wheel to sailboats continue to remind us of their remarkable ingenuity and their pivotal

role in shaping the modern world. All right. I think that turned out pretty good. Zero edits. Just pulled in the URL

rewrote the article used the narrator at thought would make sense and all the stock images it felt would work well for the article So that no edits So curious to see what people thought I know we

running the one time. But that was just a quick example. For those of you who potentially

your images aren't going to be found in some of our stock media libraries, most of them should be

Just wanted to point out a couple features. This one here is our AI image generator. So I just typed in in

this case, sailboats in the ancient world. It came up with a couple images for me that look

pretty realistic. On the next slide, you can see that you can actually choose the type of style

for your AI image generator. So if you're writing more of a storybook, maybe you want more of

like a cartoon-type feel as you want it to create your characters that you've described

This can be a good option if it's not finding the right media for you and the stock

images. Another suggestion would be, next page would be on our, is adding in a nice little

animation to the beginning of your video with your logo. So get your brand, your logo into the

system. We have a few different options where it can have that. We saw on the last one

it created a little like fade in for Bridehab engineering. You want to go back and show it very good there, Jen? Yeah, let's just show the very beginning of that

that video. And that's just one. I think there's four different, there's four different templates that you can pick from

for what would make a nice lean-in. They are indeed. And final thing would be for news sites

you may want to add in an avatar. So this is new as well. We have a ton of different avatars you can pick from

to do a lead-in to your story. So I think we have a quick 15-second example here

All good, yeah. So just as a thought, that might be another customization you might want

if you wanted to go into the editor and make some different changes. Yeah, I found that on videos I've been making at the end and at the beginning

like having the avatar bookend it seems a really nice way of sort of framing the other AI content that exists

So I guess the question is like, how can Flickify Help Me Today? You know, there's twofold really when it comes to SEO

goal is to create two videos per day or maybe it's three per week. So set some goals for yourself

around this versus just knowing it's important and knowing you want to get around to it

but then not really taking that time. So putting, get some smart goals for a video is just a
