3/13 WWT: AI-Powered SEO Tools for Domination in Search Rankings

So as you can see under my video, my name is Hannah Steaver

I'm one of our senior partnership managers here at Ezoic. I started my career here actually just over six years ago as of February

And I've worked really closely with the new business and publisher onboarding team ever since I started

So I don't believe I work directly with you, but I've heard you in the community

I know our team is very familiar with you, Michael. So again, appreciate you joining and yeah, we'll kick it off

Today we're going to be jumping into some of our SEO tools, which maybe you worked with your publisher's success manager on or kind of dabbled into it yourself as well

All right. So we're going to be primarily discussing three tools that live inside EzoX SEO platform, which is all the

bundled under the title niche IQ. And along the way, I'll be providing actionable insights so that

you have tangible things to leave with today that can really help elevate your growth strategy

And, you know, as we all know, the goal of most successful websites is to figure out how to rank

highly in search engines so that you can get consistent traffic. Because after all, the more

consistency in terms of traffic numbers and the more growth we see, that means more revenue in

your pocket, more opportunity to reinvest into continued growth as well. And I'm sure you're

well aware, as we are too, it's super time consuming and often really overwhelming to figure out

the reason or maybe multiple reasons why your pages aren't ranking. And you can probably

attest to this as well. You know, a lot of publishers can spend many, many hours doing keyword research

reviewing various SEO tools, different reports, and even editing your pages over and over again

without seeing any real results. So that's sort of where niche IQ comes into play. And again

just want to remind you that if you do have any specific questions, feel free to put it in the chat

And if I see it and I have a second, I'll try and answer it right then and there

Otherwise, answer them at the end. All right. So what is niche IQ

Not sure again if you've used niche IQ, Michael, but a niche IQ is a suite of SEO tools

that can really assist with evaluating your website performance, giving you insights on how to get specific pages performing better

ranking higher in search engines, having better user engagement. So it can really give you actionable insights again with your content strategy

And before we really started rolling out any SEO tools at all within the EZOIC platform

and Michael, I'm not sure how long you've been with EZOIC, but Niche IQ is relatively new

maybe a year, maybe a little bit longer than a year, maybe a year and a half old

But from countless conversations we've had with publishers over the year, it's very clear that spending hundreds of dollars every month for SEO tools like Semrush or

AHRFs is really not reasonable for a lot of publishers, especially those who are growing from the ground up

So helping you guys cut that cost really became part. of our mission again over the last two years or so. So the bottom line here is that publishers often

end up spending thousands of dollars per year on different SEO tools with really no real direction

on where to go. And niche IQ is here to take the heavy lifting out of that for you at no additional

costs. So free to use. Niche IQ currently offers the following tools you can see under this nice umbrella

But today we're going to be focusing on the three tools on the right that are highlighted in green

We're going to start with page booster. Then we're going to go over topics or topic suggestions

And then third, we'll go over Wordsmith. Page booster and topic suggestions have been around quite a bit longer than Wordsmith

So you might already be familiar with those two tools. But Wordsmith being primarily one of our newest tools underneath IQ should be relatively new for you

And so towards the end of this, we'll actually do a full walkthrough of how you can use the

outline to Article Converter, which is Wordsmith. So to access these tools from your Ezoic dashboard, you would click on the niche IQ tab at the top of your dashboard

And again, as I mentioned, we're first going to look into Page Booster

So Page Booster is a user-friendly tool that provides a snapshot of both your website's gains and losses

It also provides data-driven insights on how to improve your organic traffic

which ultimately leads some more revenue for your business. So looking into what those gains and loss insight looks like

Page Booster does use Google Search Console data to understand the traffic trends of your site

and typical user engagement behavior. So if you want to use niche IQ, you will need to link your Google search console

There is an authorization tab within niche IQ. So in the overview tab, you can see here that it lists the top three pages that are turning

upwards, which is great. And then the top three pages that are turning downwards, which is primarily where we're

going to spend most of the effort today. we'll go over a few things that you can do from this data

So within page booster, you can click into the page list tab

which will give you a more detailed breakdown of the specific performance of all of those

articles organized by trend. So this is really where you can see the finer details of the position and traffic changes

as well as see which keywords gained and lost the most traffic. So essentially this is a guide to pivot your losses into gains so you can keep getting that traffic back ultimately raising your bottom line So what I would love for you to do and depending on how familiar or if you actually used

page booster before, this is a great way to get started. So when looking into the individual page list within page booster, I want you to go and

identify your top three pages that are trending downward. And then the first thing I want you to do is just manually check Google search results based on maybe the top keyword for that page or top few keywords

yze the articles that are ranking higher than yours and then try and do your best to really figure out maybe what they're doing differently than you

Some things that have helped other publishers I've worked with are yzing things like how many headers they have

Do they have a video on that page? how many images, do they have infographics, how many examples, or any other relevant metrics

Essentially, is there something that they cover that you don't, or is there a specific style of

writing or organization that seems to be working well for them? Essentially learning from studying your competitors

So that's number one. Number two is refreshing your content based on your finding

So again, that might be adding more headers, more. sections of the content, maybe adding more infos or graphics or examples. So step two is

refreshing your content. And part of that is step three. Step three is creating a video for that

page that's trending down. Again, if you don't already have a video for that page. And I would

suggest doing this using Ezoics video production tool, Flickify. Again, that Flickify has been in the

ESO dashboard for probably a year now, so you may be familiar with it already

But what we found, and Semrash has actually published studies as well, that pages that have

their own video content on that topic do rank about 83% higher than pages that don't have

their own video on that topic. So that can really give you a competitive advantage over some

of the pages that might be ranking higher than you that don't have a video. So those are the three things based on the page booster data and ysis that can really

help you turn the trend around for those pages that we're losing rankings

Okay, now moving into the third tool or excuse me, the second tool that we're going to be

covering today and that is topic suggestions or topics. It's kind of referred to both

And so this is a great entry way into using niche IQ if you haven't already

The topic suggestion also pulls data from Google Search Console. So again, make sure that that is authorized

And the suggested topics are more so content that will provide consistent value

more evergreen suggestions, not necessarily keywords that are just viral or emerging

which, as you know, typically has a very short-lived significance. Here you can see how this tool gives you direction on what you should be writing about

based on the keyword gaps on your site, and it ranks the suggestions based on volume

difficulty, and potential for generating traffic. Really, the main thing you want to look at is the potential

Obviously, if there's a ton of difficulties, difficulty for a keyword and low volume, it probably doesn't have a high potential for driving

much traffic to your site. But once that aren't too difficult but have a high volume, that could

be a great potential gap to drive more traffic to the site. So you have to take into consider

all three metrics, but our system will primarily rank them based on the potential score

Another thing worth mentioning is the bookmarking feature, which you can see over on the right hand side of this screenshot

So the benefit of bookmarking is not only so that those topics jump to the top of the list so that they're easy to come back to, easy for you to view, but also it trains our AI to find similar topics in future weekly topic suggestion updates, which can help solidify more of a streamlined

content strategy. Now we're going to be getting into Wordsmith

So this is really the most exciting part of this webinar today

And I did want to say hi to Joe. Looks like you recently joined

Joe, nice to meet you. I'm Hannah from our business development team

Thanks for joining. We have gone over just a general what is niche IQ

We started with our page booster tool. Then we moved into topic suggestions just briefly

which is I think when you joined. So you're catching up right at a great part

So right now we're going to be going over Wordsmith. Wordsmith is one of the latest developments in our SEO tool set

And what it does is convert your outline into a long form article

So it can really help you mass-produce content while still maintaining your tone of voice

And unlike other AI content tools, Wordsmith does require much more human input, which we know is very, very important, especially with the latest Google algorithm update, reiterating the importance of using the AI tools really just as a guide or a starting point

but again, want to harp on the importance of adding that human expertise, human touch

injecting your own personal experience and knowledge on the content matter, so that the articles we're going to be building through Wordsmith have maximum effectiveness

So we're going to get into how it works. And first I'll just run through the first three steps high level

And then we will look at a real life example on my own

blog so you can see how easy it really is. Okay, so the first step with WordPress, excuse me, Wordsmith is creating your outline

So you want to come up with a title section headings and at least one line descriptions under each heading As you can see in this screenshot the headings in your outline would be denoted with a double pound symbol at the start of the heading

And then the text immediately beneath the heading will provide instructions for wordsmith as it generates content

So the text in that section can be included directly in the article if you wanted to use it to mention something

very specific, again, from your own expertise or knowledge, or maybe you worked on already

writing out different sections of the article. A few other tips when building your outline

is to provide directions as if you were instructing a real writer. So, for example, in this

screenshot here, you know, is on the Fourth Amendment, you might, for the first section

say, provide a short introduction on the importance of the U.S. Constitution

And then further, you could include details about the tone to use and the writing style

For example, be enthusiastic and show our love for U.S. history, for example

Or be concise and avoid technical jargon since this is for kids, it says

So be very direct when providing the one-line descriptions, or again, it could be more than one line

but be very direct with it, the better the prompting, the better the results

The next step is to add keywords. This is going to help Wordsmith understand the topic more effectively and it will also help improve SEO for the article as the important keywords list will be included in the article itself

The next step is editing the content. So as I've already harped on multiple times, it's very important that you are using Wordsmith as

as sort of the backbone, and then you come in with your own personal stories, personal examples

your own knowledge or expertise on the subject matter, and in this editing step is where you can go

and edit the script or edit the article itself and change it to your own sort of tone

You can edit it as much or as little as you want

And so you go through each section one at a time until you've reviewed all of the different

section headers and expanded the content. And again, we'll be going through a real example shortly after this higher level overview

So we can do it together. So Wordsmith is different from Riteo because Wordsmith is an outline to article converter

whereas Riteo is just a keyword or a topic to article. converter. So radio is a lot more hands off. It doesn't have as much human input as Wordsmith

does need. So with Wordsmith, you have to put in the whole outline. You have to come up with

the headings, whereas with Radio, it does all of that for you. And we will have a webinar on

radio in two weeks. So I'll make sure to put the date at the end of this slide deck so you

can write that down and join for the radio webinar as well

Okay, so you're going to repeat that process that I just mentioned for each section

so all of the different headers, until you have a complete article

You can obviously add more sections if desired by clicking on the new section button

at the bottom of the list, and then you can even reorder the sections just by dragging and dropping them

So once each section has been generated and edited by you, you'll click on the continue button, which is on that bottom corner

And then in the finish step, you can view statistics. So the word count, the total character count to see if it sort of aligns with your content strategy

And then you can go back and edit, write more content, add more sections if you need to

But then to review the generated article in its entirety, you'll click

on final document. And then when you're happy with the final document as it is, you'll click on the

export document button on the right hand side. This is going to bring the article up in HTML format

So you can then just copy and paste this into your CMS such as WordPress and then fluff it up

with images, infographics, videos, etc., before actually publishing it to your site

And then once you publish the article, you can set the URL in Wordsmith so that the system can track the ROI in the article in terms of total page views, how much revenue the article is generated, and the overall EPMB or earnings per 1,000 visitors

So from there, it's rinse and repeat. That was one article walkthrough that we did

And now that you've seen how to do this in general, I'll quickly run through a live walkthrough

All right. So here I am going to jump into my Ezoic dashboard, and I just want to make sure that you guys are still seeing this in the Ezoic dashboard under NECU

Thank you. Perfect. Okay, so for Wordsmith, that's over here on the left-hand side. You can also scroll down

Looks like we're actually missing a button there. So you will close. click on Wordsmith on the left, and then here is where we'll get started

There's guides up here at the top if you wanted more of a reference point

This guide has everything you need to know. So if you know a publisher that wasn't able to make it to this webinar

but would find it useful, feel free to send them that guide, or you can send them the webinar link later on

So we'll click on new document to get started. This is the fetch step, which is, again, inputting our outline

So what I've already done prior to today and what you would need to do on your end is come up with your outline

So here you can see in a Google Doc, I've come up with the heading for my article, and then I've put six different topics or excuse me, six different headings that I want

Wordsmith to generate the content for. So I'm going to start by copying all of this over into

Wordsmith and this is my title So I just going to backspace So from there that my outline I going to click Continue

Here you can see the different sections, and as I mentioned, you can reorder them if you want

and then you can obviously add new sections and then reorder them again if you need to

I also want to highlight that adding keywords is really important. So again, prior to using words

Smith. In addition to coming up with your outline, you also want to make a list of the keywords that you want to target

So let me copy and paste these keywords that I've listed out and you'll separate these with commas and then

click add keyword. And then this is kind of a lot of keywords. I could go through and delete them

delete certain ones, but for today, I'm just going to keep those in there. Now we click continue

Oh, actually go back into the sections. And then within the document sections, under each heading, you're going to click on edit

And then this is where you'll see your one line description and the button to expand the content

So here it takes about 15, 20 seconds. Okay, that was less to come up with the content

you can adjust the word count that you want for that section, each section that goes along

So this here is my introduction paragraph, so maybe I want it a little bit shorter

but for more of the bulk sections of the article, maybe I want those a little bit longer

So it's totally up to you what the word count is that you want to put here

So let's say that now you're reviewing it. You can edit it directly in this box

You can add your own additional content as well. That is fully editable and again, highly suggested that you do review everything

You add your own tone, your own flare, your experiences, knowledge, etc

So then you'll go each section one at a time, expanding the content

So this will be a little bit repetitive for the sake of the webinar

I'm just going to go through each section and click expand content. But if this were a real article that I was going to post on my site, I would absolutely be editing each section

Okay, so that was my last section. We'll close up that tab and then we'll click on continue

Here's where you can see the total character count and the total word count

and you can review your final document. So this is what the article would look like in plain text

If you're happy with that, you can go ahead and export the document

but of course you can always go back and re-edit, add more sections, etc

So what I'm going to do is click on export document, and I'm going to copy this whole article

So I'm copying that over. And then I use WordPress. I'm not sure what you guys use, but it should work just fine with any CMS

So I'm simply going to paste it into a new post. And here you can see that my new article is written here

So at this point, you can, again, you can edit it directly. it here, I could continue adding content. You don't have to do it within wordpress, or excuse me

wordsmith. You could add more images or images in general. This is where you would want to add

video content if you have it, infographics, whatever might be relevant for the article itself

So from there, you would click on publish. I'm not going to publish this today because, again

and I didn't add any personal touch necessarily. But let's say you did publish it, you would have the URL of the page, and you would want

to set the URL in Wordsmith. So here is where you want to set the URL

Again, this is so that you can track the ROI on the article itself

And that's it for Wordsmith. So here you would see all of your documents, and then this tab shows the ROI

So the title, the URL, page views, revenue, and the EPMB. So by yzing the ROI of your Wordsmith-generated articles

you can get more insight into what topics seem to be doing well with Wordsmith

what new content you might want to focus on in the future. And I think Wordsmith and topic suggestions are a great

are great two tools that work hand-in-hand together. All right, so going back to the slide deck, what I would love for you guys to do is identify one topic to write about from the topic suggestions tool in each IQ

Then I want you to write your outline, so that's going to include the title of your article, the headings, and one-line descriptions per section

Not listed here is also doing your keyword research and listing out the keywords that you would want the article to

target and then convert your article, excuse me, convert your outline into an article

using wordsmith. So just as I showed you guys from my blog

same process where you upload the outline, you expand each section, you edit it, fluff it with your own touch, and then

upload it to your CMS and publish it. And then bonus points

is if you create a Flickify video for your new article. So thinking back

to when I mentioned with Page Booster. Articles that have their own relevant video content

on the article itself ranked 83% higher than pages that don't have their own video content

So for maximum effectiveness for your new Wordsmith generated article, I would also suggest creating a Flickify video

So that completes everything that we're gonna go over today. I did want to quickly jot down the next three webinars
